Clinical Quality Metrics
In order to comply with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services federal Promoting Interoperability Program (formerly known as “Meaningful Use” or the “Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program”), states must collect a variety of clinical quality metrics from providers in order to determine that the providers are “meaningfully using” the EHRs. This requirement works in concert with the software used to register providers and pay incentives to them.
HealthTech Solutions developed a Clinical Quality Metrics (CQM) tool to most efficiently meet the program requirements. Our CQM software is being used by five states and one U.S. territory, and we offer a different, compatible solution for registering and validating provider eligibility.
We also offer ancillary support and consulting services to states and providers for the federal Promoting Interoperability Program planning and compliance efforts. Our team has deep experience with state and federal agencies implementing various aspects of the HITECH Act, since its beginning.
