New report studies health IT comparison criteria and features HeathTech Solutions co-authors

For the past two years, we have been working closely with the Urban Institute and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) in order to study what would make the most effective comparison criteria for certified health IT products. This effort is referred to as the EHR Reporting Program and was required under section 4002(c) of the Cures Act of 2016. 

As part of this effort, we worked with the Urban Institute and ONC to analyze responses to a federal Request for Information, existing literature, and other comparison tools available on health IT. We also obtained stakeholder input through open public forums across the country, as well as a series of virtual meetings and discussions with subject matter experts.
